The SCP stands for Special Containment Procedures. Secure, Contain and Protect is also its another meaning. In essence, it is a collaborative writing wiki project. It is quite a popular horror genre. That is why, I would like the share best SCP games on this article with my fellow readers.

1. Control
Control have lots of similarities to the SCP foundation lore. Its atmosphere, story, and lore totally inspired from the SCP. I believe no one can deny this fact.
Do you wanna know this games story? A corruptive presence and evil entities has invaded the Federal Bureau of Control. The containment is failed… Can you regain the control and defeat the unnatural forces?
The gameplay of control is really fun and I highly recommend it to the SCP fans. We don’t get to play AAA SCP games so often after all.
2. SCP: Pandemic
Second game of our list is SCP: Pandemic. It is based on the SCP-5000 scenario, submitted by Tanhony.
On this scenario, the SCP discovers a malicious entity embedded within the collective human subconscious. Then they change the directive to the extermination of the human race. Well, you are the AFA (Anti Foundation Alliance), tasked with counter measures.

3. SCP: Secret Files
SCP: Secret Files is a collection of various SCP paranormal cases. One might say, it is all in one.
At the start, you will join to the SCP as an assistant researcher for Dr. Raymond Hamm. Then, the more you work, the more you question how things handled in SCP.
It is a story rich exploration game, so don’t expect a full action gameplay on this.
4. Prey
It is not a SCP game but you will get the SCP vibes while playing it. Just like the triple A game, Control.
In Prey, you awaken in a space station orbiting the moon in 2032. Unfortunately, you are a subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity. But of course, things went horribly wrong.
Your space station is invaded by hostile aliens and entities… Can you survive to the end?
5. ColdSide
This video game is highly influenced by the SCP foundation. At least, that’s what the developers claim.
Coldside takes place in an abandoned secret research facility that studies the paranormal phenomena.
This place has been abandoned for a time now and you are part of the investigation squad.
6. Half Life Series
Looking for a SCP game but don’t know what to play? I can recommend you the Half-Life series or the Portal. The Half-Life saga starts in a secret underground research facility. Then of course things gone horribly wrong, and monsters unleash to the world. It can be called a containment breach…
Even if you have played the Half-Life before, you can still play the re-mastered version Black-Mesa.
7. SCP: Labrat (VR)
Let’s continue with a VR game this time. You are a test subject in the SCP lab. Eventually containment breach happens and you must find a way to escape this hellhole.
Because of the VR experience, SCP: Labrat is scary on such a primal level, it is terrifying. Basically, you will poop your pants while playing it. So, proceed with caution or face the consequences.
8. SCP: Secret Laboratory
SCP: Secret Laboratory has the same old story. A secret facility and contain breach. However, this time it is an online PVP experience.
You get to choose your character to role-play. Available options are:

- Foundation Security
- Chaos Insurgency
- SCP Entities (Okay this is the most fun one.)
9. The Store is Closed

The Store is Closed is basically a co-op survival game set in a furniture store.
In this game, you find yourself in an infinite store. When the lights go out, the staff attacks you. Of course the staff members are not human…
10. SCP: Blackout (VR)
Second and the last VR game on our list is SCP: Blackout.
You play as a D-Class personnel in a secret SCP facility site-50. You must access to logs ASAP in order to learn more about the escapee entities. After that you might have a chance to escape this doomed facility.

I want to talk about the gameplay too. SCP: Keter is a tactical multiplayer FPS game. Game mechanics are highly inspired from Dead by Daylight and Left 4 Dead. It is going to be quite fun game to play with other people.

13. SCP: Fragmented Minds
SCP: Fragmented Minds explores a ruptured reality, corrupted by a keter class containment breach. This containment breach was the most devastating event humanity has ever seen. Can you piece together a solution to this catastrophe?
Gameplay options are going to be single-player, multi-player PvP, and co-op. Well, what can I say, I am looking forward to encounter these scary SCP entitites.
14. Soma
A sci-fi horror game, from the creators of Amnesia. For the most part, it is a philosophical game. However, you will get some cool SCP vibes while playing it, I promise.
In SOMA, you find yourself trapped inside an underwater facility, all alone. Radio is dead, food is running out and the machines… The machines have started to think they are people! Reality stopped making sense altogether.
15. SCP Strategy
The final game in my best SCP games list is a strategy game. SCP Strategy game lets you take the control of the SCP foundation organization. For the good of humanity, you must find, secure, contain, and protect paranormal entities.
