Trade is one of the simplest features in Imperator Rome. However, it might be a little confusing at the start since the game doesn’t teach you how it works. But don’t worry, I’ll break down the trade mechanic of Imperator Rome for you right here right now!
There is import and export in this game. Both earning gold for you. Yes, importing resources doesn’t cost you money, instead it earns money. Although export is much more profitable.
Now I’ll explain import and export trade mechanics separately to help you completely understand commerce in Imperator Rome.
Imperator Rome Export
Export is usually done by accepting other nations import requests. They can send you a diplomatic request asking for your resources that are available in your provinces. Of course, they both earn money and send you money from this deal.
You can manually accept import request and export your resources for money. Though it is a tedious process. Instead, you should press F6 and tick the “accept all trades” automatic trade acceptance on the trade screen. If you also tick the “block surplus” below, other nations don’t request resources from your capital which can disturb your capital surplus bonus.
That’s just about it about export. It’s very easy to deal with. Import on the other hand, it’s a bit complicated by I’ll break it down for you.
