League of Legends has a fixed winrate problem. No matter what you do, how good or how bad you are doesn’t really matter. In the end, your winrate will steer towards %50. It’s system that is focused to keep player engaged.
Ever wonder why you get bad lose streaks after winning couple of games in a row? It’s because the game is trying to get you to %50 winrate. You can play really well but the outcome of your games already predetermined in the matchmake. Use op.gg or something to check match history of your team-mates and opponents. One side always have huge advantage over the other. Games are simply not fair. That’s why you either stomp or get stomped in League.
10 REASONS TO QUIT LEAGUE OF LEGENDS
The games I’ve won are literally super easy. Even if I didn’t do anything, we would’ve still won. What about the games I lose? No matter what I do, that games are unwinnable. That’s the fixed win-rate for you.
So, how does the system work? If you win a lot of games, you end up in losers queue. In that queue, your teammates always be bad whereas opponents are smurf like. If you lose a lot of games, your team-mates will be good players and opponents are thrash compared to them.
LOL Forced %50 Winrate
The system will not let you climb easily to your skill level. In order to climb to your natural rank, you must grind hundreds of games because of the forced %50 winrate mechanics.
That’s how Riot keeps you engaged and emotionally invested in League of Legends.
Here are some of the counter arguments:
- Elo hell. (Not a real thing.)
- You’ve reached your skill level. (You win your lane, have a good macro, still lose. Check op.gg for teammates and opponents match history. You’re literally in losers queue. That’s how Riot gets you keep grinding.)
- Smurfs have better winrate. (Of course they will, because after winning some unwinnable games, system recognizes you as smurf and climbing become much easier.)
- Git gud. (Win your lane, win objectives, and play macro. Not gonna help when your teammates are giga-feeding and grifting.)
A player with %60 winrate should have teammates and opponents close to %60 winrate for a decent matchmaking. However, that’s not how the system works. Good players get bad team-mates to even things which is not fair at all. All because Riot needs you engaged, grinding, and emotionally investing more and more!
