Role playing games have never been this popular before. (2023) Just look at the releases of the past years, biggest, and the most played games are RPGs. So, what’s the appeal of rpg games? Why are role playing games are so popular? Short answer, people love to become someone else, and live a different life in video games.
Main thing in role-playing games is creating a unique character to play as, stepping into his/her shoes, and literally becoming this new persona. That’s what makes this genre so special. Because majority of modern men and women live a boring life.
The role playing games became our second life! Real life can’t compete with it because in RPGs you’re a hero, a savior, and someone who is in charge of his/hers life.
All in all, playing a role playing game is fun, exciting, and is a form of escapism, those are the main reasons why RPGs are so popular.

Next game could be stone-age tribe challenge. There are many choices in Rimworld. Though my favorites would be religious cult and stoner colony runs.
