Baldur’s Gate 3 have Stadia support. It works pretty well too. However, there are some bad news.
Again, it was amazing, but unfortunately Google decided to shut stadia off. Why did this happen? Basically, Google was not making enough profit off of this service.
Stadia will officially shut down on January 18, 2023. From that day, you will lose access to this service. What is the BG3 Stadia alternative? Nvidia GeForce Now is the best Stadia alternative at the moment. If you insist on using cloud-streaming platforms, GeForce Now is a way to go. Of course, you can always play BG3 on PC. But we are talking about cloud gaming today.
At least we have alternatives, right? Stadia was the leader online gaming streaming service. Many people loved it. But I guess that number was not enough for Google. Capitalism is a failed system. Wish there was a better way…
Baldur’s Gate 3 Stadia
Playing Baldur’s Gate 3 on Stadia have many advantages. You can play it on TV, iPad, old laptop, and Xbox Series. It is also cheaper than buying a high-end PC. All in all, it is a great experience as long as you have a good internet connection.
Cross play is also an option. As long as you have Baldur’s Gate 3 Larian account. Which is completely free.
Of course, Stadia and Steam versions of BG3 have some differences. Biggest downside of using Stadia is the lack of mod support. On PC, you can use as many mods as you like. Which is amazing. Baldur’s Gate 3 already have hundreds of mods, even in early access. I can’t image how many great mods will be available when the game fully released.
BALDUR’S GATE 3 BEST HAIRSTYLE MODS
Controller support is another difference. Baldur’s Gate 3 PC version does not have any controller support. Not in the early access at least. With Stadia, you can use controllers and chill. Will there be a controller support in BG3 PC version? If so, when? We will find out when the time comes.
Also, Stadia version gets patches after a week or two. This delay is not that really important though. Because all game-breaking bugs fixed already. I guess the full release date is getting closer.
Thank you for reading. Do let me know what you think about the Google’s Stadia decision. I want to know what you think. See you in Fearun, till later.
