I really like the ambiance, and music of a medieval tavern. Well, I also like management / tycoon games. So, when you combine these two, my favorite genre emerges. And that is the tavern management games. On this page you will find my favorite ones. Here is the list of 20 best tavern management games to play in 2022.
BEST NECROMANCER ROLE PLAYING GAMES
Fellow innkeeper, get ready to manage your own inn / tavern. Don’t think that it is easy to manage a business though. There are many aspects of managing a tavern. Such as stock management, gaming money management, customer happiness, marketing, employee management, etc. But if you succeed in these, money will flow to you!
1. Ravenous Devils
In this game, you will manage two businesses. One is tavern, other is barber shop. These two businesses are in partnership. Now you are wondering, how so? Well, the taverns meat comes from the barbershop. If you know what I mean…
Ravenous Devils is a tavern management game that highly inspired from Johnny Depp’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street movie.
Percival manages the tailor shop, he kills the customers, and sends corpses to the Hildred.
Hildred manages the pub, she disposes the bodies, and feeds customers corpse-based meals.
Basically, this is a crime-based management game. It is fun, interesting, and something unique. Therefore, I highly recommend you try it.
2. Tavern Master
Tavern management game set in medieval times? Where do I sing up? Tavern Master is a game where you manage your medieval tavern.
You start in a very small room and build your way up to a huge successful tavern. Good old rags to riches story.
So, design your tavern, create rooms for overnight stay, and decorate. When your business grows enough, hire chefs, servers, and musicians. Then optimize workflow to sit back and relax. You are the boss after all.
3. Crossroads Inn
This game has mixed reviews on steam and super buggy… However, despite all that, it is super fun tavern management game. I really can’t get enough of it!
Crossroads inn is a real time management game set in a fantasy medieval world. More of an inn simulation game actually. You can build and manage your tavern in a way you like. Main object is making customers happy. That in the end will make you lots of money.
The game is really enjoyable as long as you ignore the bugs.
4. Travellers Rest
Just another inn management game. But this time with pixel graphics. In Travellers Rest, you are an innkeeper trying to transform a run-down inn into a bustling social space. The game is not limited to innkeeping either. You can brew your own ale, run a farm, craft furniture, build relations, and explore the world. So, if you liked the Stardew Valley, you will definitely like Travellers Rest.
There is one downside though. This game is an early access game and still in progress. That means you can encounter bugs and missing content. But the games potential is immense.
5. Winkeltje: The Little Shop
This time you don’t manage a tavern or an inn. Instead, you take control of a little shop. Still, you can sell foods and drinks to your customers, among other things.
There will be lots of micro-managing to do. You can buy low and sell high. Also, it is possible to farm, craft, cook, expand, and hire employers. Even though you start with a little shop, it is possible to grow exponentially.
6. Epic Tavern
Epic Tavern looks like a simple resource management game. However, it is much more than that. Epic tavern is a narrative focused fantasy RPG in essence.
Actually, the tavern is a front business. Real business is something different. You recruit the heroes that are visiting your tavern and send them to quests. Eventually your tavern grows and attracts more heroes to send on adventures.
There are lots to do in Epic Tavern such as choices, intrigue, character management, quests, progress, etc. What can I say? Epic Tavern is a one engaging game.
7. The Guild 3
The Guild 3 is a trading and life simulation set in medieval times. You can enter into many businesses including tavern ownership.
Build your inn, do romances, star intrigue in politics, and see your dynasty acquire wealth in the tavern business.
Most players agree that The Guild 2 is the better version. However, it’s graphics are outdated. So, the choice is yours. Do you prefer better graphics or better gameplay?
8. Tavern Tycoon
Another tavern management game set in a fantasy world. Tavern Tycoon is also including some RPG elements and good dose of humor. My favorite genres!
After years of roaming free, adventuring, and slaying, you took an arrow to the knee. Retired life is boring. Why not start a tavern? The second part of your life journey begins now.
9. Orcish Inn
Survive, farm, and run your tavern in this simulation game set in orcish realm. Orcs are creatures with huge appetite. Raise corps, brew beer, and satisfy your customers!

13. Tavernier
Tavernier is a mix between a tavern management game and an interactive fiction. You will play as a barkeeper of an interesting tavern.
Managing your stocks and customer demands are not too hard. However, there is another aspect of this game. You will find yourself in many situations, quests, and hard decisions. So, will you be a nice guy or the stingiest person on earth? Where will your choices lead you? Your destiny is in your hands.
14. Oi, Innkeep!
Your uncle is retired from his magic innkeeper business. Now it is your turn to take charge! But remember it is not an easy job.

Dealing with drunk and angry customers will be a hard challenge. But the money you earn will definitely worth the hassle.
15. Graveyard Keeper
It is a graveyard management game at the essence, but you can build a tavern too! It is considered one of the most inaccurate medieval simulations but super fun nonetheless.
So, build your graveyard and manage it. Once enough money accumulated, you can expand into other ventures. Including inn.
16. Noble Fates
Noble Fates is a 3D fantasy kingdom simulation. You can build, craft, farm, mine, hunt, defend, and do much more stuff. Its first major update was focused on inn management. Now you can have your own inn in a beautiful fantasy environment.

17. Inn Mage
Inn Mage is a strategy RPG with management simulation elements. I know it sounds complicated but far from it.

18. Innchanted
Are you ready to run a magical inn with your friends? Finally, I can share a inn management game with co-op support. It is my favorite genre, but lack of multiplayer content was a bummer. Thankfully, Innchanted introduces online gaming to the tavern management genre.
Team up with your friends up to 4 players and reclaim your family’s legacy. Better be smart with the work distribution. Because you must manage your inn, brew potions, cook, and fight with various foes in Innchanted.
19. Love Tavern
Do you like anime cat girls? If you do, you will also like the Love Tavern.
Your job is to hire different girls from various tribes and races to help the business there. Hire cute girls, assign their jobs, take care of them, and enjoy!

Shop Titans is a MMORPG shopkeeper simulation. You can play single-player too if you want but the online version is much better.
