Baldur’s Gate 3 is a visual art piece. All characters look like supermodels, environment is beautiful, and overall artistic design of the game is top notch. Of course we’ll want to take bunch of screenshots. But how to take BG3 screenshots and where to find BG3 screenshots? Answers below.
Are you on Steam? If you bought the Baldur’s Gate 3 on Steam, simply press F12 to take screenshots. Your screenshots will be at your online steam library which can be set to private.
Baldur’s Gate 3 steam screenshots:
Steam Menu > View > Screenshots > Baldur’s Gate 3
You don’t use Steam? Then you need to press Print Screen button on your keyboard, alt-tab into paint / photoshop, and press ctrl-v to paste your screenshot. After that you can save the result in any format you want.
Unfortunately, early access Baldur’s Gate 3 does not have in-game screenshot button, or a screenshot folder. You need to use one of the Steam F12 or Print Screen methods to take your beautiful screenshots.
Baldur’s Gate 3 documents folder location:
Documents \ User \ Larian Studios \ Baldur’s Gate 3
You got saves and mods in Baldur’s Gate 3 folder but no screenshots. That maybe implemented with the full release though.

You should hide UI in order to take most beautiful Baldur’s Gate 3 screenshot. F10 is the BG3 toggle UI button. But that’s not enough!
You better max the graphics for the sake of screenshot even if your PC is lagging. Also, there are bazillions of Baldur’s Gate 3 mods that’ll turn your screenshots into masterpieces. Such as cosmetic mods, graphic mods, outfit mods, overhaul mods, etc.
There is also a mod called Improved UI, which is at the patch 9 I believe. It improves UI but the reason I’m recommending it is the removal of early access watermark. In order to remove early access watermark for better screenshots, you need to get BG3 Improved UI mod.
Thanks for reading, I hope this article was helpful. I also would like to see your screenshots. You can link the Imgur or steam page of your screenshots to the comment section below. Have fun, see you later.
