My favorite movie, literature, and TV series media is the Lord of the Rings. My favorite game genre is role playing. So, do the two ever mix? Rarely.
There are not enough Lord of the Rings RPGs. I could only find 5 of them. Some of them are not even real games but mods. Also, one is the sub-genre of RPG, meaning MMORPG.
5 best LOTR RPGs:
1. The Last Days
The Last Days is a Mount & Blade Warband mod and it’s offering the best Lord of the Rings video game experience in my opinion. Warband is a pretty old game though. So, if you can’t bring yourself to playing old video game, check out for Mount & Blade Bannerlord mods. I think there are some LOTR mods for Bannerlord too. Still, since Bannerlord is a new game, its mods need a lot of polishing and updates to match the experience of The Last Days.
