Utility Pokemons are the type Pokemons that are used for farming, training, shunting, hatching, HMs, etc. Basically, anything other than PvP. So, which utility Pokemons are the most useful ones in PokeMMO? Scroll down for the top 9.

Keep in mind though, utility Pokemons aren’t cheap. They’re bred and trained for specific reasons. Therefore, they are kinda expensive especially at level 100. But totally worth investing. Because, you can earn and save a lot of money by using utility Pokemons.
In fact, I bred and trained lots of utility Pokemons just to sell at global trade market. It’s one of those poke-yen making methods guys and gals!
1. Breloom
Breloom is the most popular utility Pokemon because you can hunt anything with it. Especially the Dittos.
For ditto hunting, you need to find a Breloom with poison heal ability. Because you’ll use substitute skill first to prevent Ditto from transforming. And substitute cost heal. To replenish that heal loss, you need poison heal ability and give your Breloom a toxic orb which is a held item. Then, you can hunt dittos as much as you like. Out of skills? Just use leppa berries!
I prefer an adamant Breloom with 31 speed + attack. It’s strong and can easily help you catch powerful alpha Pokemons.
2. Smeargle
Smeargle can be used for Ditto hunting (spore), Ghost hunting (foresight), Bulbasaur hunting (soak), HM abilities, shunting (sweet scent), Ev training (surf), etc. As you can see, it has many uses.
The thing is, Smeargle can learn any skill-set. However, its stats are quite weak and can’t learn hidden abilities. That’s why we need different utility Pokemons for different situations. But most of the time, Smeargle is good to go.
Besides, it’s cute!
3. Meowth
Meowth is for payday farming which is a great way of making money. The Pokemon has payday skill and pick-up ability for that. Just make sure not to let it evolve into Persian because it will lose the pick-up ability.
So, how does payday farming works? You kill a Pokemon with payday and you earn cash. Also, your pick-up ability lets you pick up the held item of wild Pokemon. After an hour or two you make a good sum of money overall.
4. Munchlax
Munchlax is same as Meowth in terms of Payday farming. It has access to payday and pick-up. Plus, it has access to earth-quake, and stab hyper voice, meaning you can also use it against hordes for ev training. It’s cuter too.
Just don’t let it evolve into Snorlax because that would erase the pick-up ability just like Meowth > Persian evolution. Munchlax evolves with a level-up + 87% happiness. Though you can prevent evolution by clicking cancel.
Since it’s rarer than Meowth, Munchlax would be more expensive on GTL.
5. Banette
Banette is a utility Pokemon that is used for farming fossils. They can be redeemed for an ancient Pokemon or sold at GTL. It’s one of those money farming methods.
You should look for frisk + thief combination when buying a Banette.
With its frisk ability, you can check your wild encounters held item. If it’s holding an item, you can use your Banette’s thief ability to steal it. If its not holding anything, you can just skip it and go for the next encounter. It’s perfect for fossil farming.
6. Alakazam
Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam may have a special ability called Synchronize. Synchronize ability increases the chance of meeting a wild Pokemon with the same nature.
How does it work? Let’s say you’re hunting for a shiny Smeargle. Naturally you want your shiny Smeargle to have an adamant nature. So, what do you do? You get a Alakazam with adamant nature and synchronize ability to increase your chance of meeting an adamant shiny Smeargle. That’s the way to go.
I got Alakazams with adamant, modest, timid, and jolly natures. Each has its own use for various scenarios.
7. Clefable
Cute charm for attracting opposite gender Pokemons. That way you can get a female shiny Pokemon to breed it with another shiny and still keep your OT.
That’s basically it. Get a Clefable and your milkshake will bring all the boys to the yard.
8. Slugma
Special ability Magma Armor of Flame Body allows your eggs to hatch faster. It’s a must have utility Pokemon if you’re going to do mass breeding.
Breeding is an end-game activity. When you have enough money and want to make more money, you go into breeding. Or for hatching a shiny. Anyways, at some point, you’ll end up with boxes of eggs. The eggs take a lot of time to hatch especially if you have lots of them. Thankfully, Slugma will warm your eggs and help them hatch much faster.
You can also buy donator status to speed up egg hatching times.
9. Dragonite
Dragonite can learn Fly Surf Waterfall Strenght HMs. Basically, the most useful HMs that’ll come in handy throughout your journeys. In PokeMMO literature, utility Pokemons focused on HMs called HM slave.
Other possible HM Pokemons are: Marill, Tropius, Psyduck, Nidoking, Pelipper, Pikachu, Dragonite, Swampert, Bibarel, Smeargle, etc.
