Hearts of Iron IV is currently PC exclusive. Will it stay like that forever? Will HOI4 come to console? Not in our life time, I don’t think so. HOI4 first released at 6 Jun, 2016 and still not available for consoles. It’s been 6 years and it is not ported yet. I wouldn’t expect it to be available for consoles, not anymore.

Will HOI4 come to PS5, PS4, or Xbox console? Paradox haven’t announced a port yet. Probably won’t be either. HOI5 will most likely be available for consoles at the release. However, Paradox still releases DLC for HOI4. I wouldn’t expect a HOI5 before 2024-2025.

Xbox Game Pass PC have Hearts of Iron IV in it. But unfortunately the game is not available for Xbox.
HOI4 is not available for PS4 or PS5 either. But for a good reason.
Real time and grand strategy games are horrible for consoles. Neither PlayStation nor Xbox is a good gaming system for strategy games in general.
Drawing frontlines would be horrible on consoles. Game highly requires mouse and keyboard, not to mention it’s horrible UI for gamepad.
Another RTS/grand strategy game of Paradox, Stellaris is released for consoles. As well as Crusader Kings III. However, Paradox directives said they won’t be porting HOI4 to PS4, PS5, or Xbox. Just wait for HOI5 if you want to experience WW2 strategy game on your console.
Will HOI4 Come to Mobile?
The answer is crystal clear, no it wont. It is not going to happen, ever. However, there are HOI4 like grand strategy games available to mobile. Of course they are not as good or complex as Hearts of Iron IV. But still they are enjoyable.
The first mobile HOI4 alternative game is called Strategy & Tactics 2. It is an turn based grand strategy game of World War II. Manage economics, diplomacy, warfare, and conquer your enemies. It really looks like HOI4 too. Which is pretty interesting.
Other one is World Conqueror 4. It is a turn based strategy military game based on World War II. Just like HOI4 and Strategy & Tactics 2.
It is really simple to play. However, more than 100 campaigns in it. Therefore, more content and playtime.
