Can you be evil in Baldur’s Gate 3? The answer is yes, you can! Baldur’s Gate 3 is a great RPG where choices matter a lot. Player can role play as good, evil, or pragmatist character. So, what will your choice be? I think you should try the evil route at least once. My Baldur’s Gate 3 evil playthrough suggestions and tips might help you on your next run.
I have shared the possible Baldur’s Gate 3 evil choices below. You can do an evil run simply by taking the im-moral choices in dialogues. But there is more to that. Scroll down to find out!
Those who want to start a new evil run can check out my Baldur’s Gate 3 thief build. A rogue / thief character would be great for evil playthrough. Robbing innocent civilians’ blind is pretty evil thing to do.
Evil is seductive, shocking, and in some cases rewarding. It is not about just being a mean asshole either. It is about power!
Baldur’s Gate 3 Evil Party
Evil companions in Baldur’s gate 3 are currently Astarion, Lae’zel, and Shadowheart. They are somewhat evil at the start of your game. However, in time they can soften depending on your choices and actions.
Lae’zel always acts mean against pretty much everyone. Shadowheart too. I wouldn’t call them true evil, but they are the best candidates for an evil run.
Of course, an evil party must have a vampire in it. Astarion is one of the Baldur’s Gate 3 vampire characters.
Wyll might be a selfish one. But can’t call him evil. If you kill Tieflings in the druid groove, which is the evil option, Wyll leaves the group. Saying he can’t be a part of evil company.
Same with Gale. Raiding Druids Groove with Minthara will ends up in Gale’s leaving the party.
Smash Alfira’s Lute
Alfira is my favorite NPC in Baldur’s Gate 3. She is cute, smart, witty, and sings beautifully. Check out voice actress of Alfira.
To me, meanest thing you can do in Baldur’s Gate 3 is messing with Alfira. Actually, you can smash Alfira’s lute and push her off the cliff.
It doesn’t get eviler than that. Please leave my waifu Alfira alone. 🙁
Side With the Cambion Raphael
In D&D universe, you can never trust a cambion. They are devils and utterly evil. If you want to do an evil run in Baldur’s Gate 3, you should most definitely side with cambion Raphael.
No matter what he asks, always comply. Make a deal with the devil for terrible powers.
Help Aunt Ethel the Hag
Hags are always represented as evil in literature, folklore, and D&D. I don’t want to spoil more but Ethel the Hag as evil as it gets. In evil playthrough you should help her with what she asks. Avoid fighting her.
Just take her deal. Do the evil deed and get your reward.
Help Priest Gut
Another possible option! Side with the evil goblin priestess gut and she will reward you.
As an evil character, you must align with the goblins no-matter what.
So, raid the Druids Groove with Minthara and kill anyone comes up on your path. Gale will try to leave your group after that. You can convince him not to though.
Let Kagha Kill the Tiefling Child
I don’t know how many times I re-loaded my save in order to save Arabella.
Of course, in my evil playthrough, I simply let druid Kagha murder her. It was an evil run after all.
You don’t do it directly though. It just happens.
Sacrifice a Companion
BOOOAL the god of murder demands sacrifice. Priest of fish people tells you to sacrifice one of your companions.
They can be found in the Underdark.
After sacrificing one of your companions, you will be rewarded with unique item Sickle of BOOOAL. A weapon that is highly effective against bleeding targets. This bleeding target advantage bonus also can be gained as a passive power. Only if you make the right choices during dialogue.
However, if you kill the fish-men Kua-toa, the magical enchantment disappears.
Whatever magic these fish men had died with them.
All in all, human sacrifice is the most evil thing you can do in Baldur’s Gate 3.
