Animal Crossing is a highly popular game but it's Nintendo Exclusive. That's why I made this list of PC games similar to Animal Crossing.

animal crossing pc alternatives

Animal Crossing is one of the most popular social simulation video games. Almost everyone loves it. However, sadly many gamers can’t play it because Animal Crossing is a Nintento exclusive video game.

Luckily, there are many similar games like Animal Crossing on PC. Some are similar in terms of gameplay, some are similar in atmosphere. In the end, you can find a good game to play on PC that will satisfy your need.

By the way, you can play Animal Crossing on PC by using Ryujinx or Yuzu emulator. Though you need to have a high-end PC to run it. Also, no multiplayer on emulators. That’s why I personally don’t consider that option.

RPG FARMING GAMES

PC games like Animal Crossing:

1. Cozy Grove

VISIT

Cozy Grove is the closest PC game to Animal Crossing. It’s a game about camping on a haunted, ever-changing island.

As a Spirit Scout, you’ll be wandering island for ghosts, finding secrets, and helping locals. Your objects are crafting, fishing, and collecting spirit animals. But don’t even think about doing everything at once. The island is active, different quests appear daily.

The game is basically a ghost themed slice of life RPG.

2. Ooblets

VISIT

Ooblets is one of the best creature collection games on PC. The game takes a little bit to get into, but it’s pretty rewarding, and chill.

It’s available on EpicGames and Xbox Plus. This game is not yet available on Steam but coming soon.

Creature collection mechanics and battles of Ooblets reminds me of Pokemon games. But there are much more things to do in Ooblets. You can collect seeds, items, furniture, machinery, badges, and friends!

3. PokeMMO

VISIT

PokeMMO is a cute MMORPG set in the world of Pokemon. The client uses Black/White, Fire Red, Emerald, Platinum, and HeartGold/SoulSilver ROMS you provide. So, it’s not licensed but %100 real. Looks like developers figured a way around the loophole.

The game is simple. You start at one of the 4 available regions, Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova. After completing a region, you can start the other one. After completing, both regions will be accessible by ferry.

VISIT

Castaway Paradise is the ultimate island life simulation. In its sandbox world you can farm, fish, catch bugs, talk to villagers, build your dream island!

The island let you experience all 4 seasons. Island also changes during the holidays. Dynamic mechanics like that make the game livelier, and replayable.

Since it’s a dirt-cheap game, I think everyone should try it once. Also, DLCs are completely free.

5. Summer in Mara

Summer in Mara is one of the coziest, chillest, and most relaxing video game you can play on PC. There is something about island life.

So, the game is a farming, crafting, and exploring adventure game set in the most beautiful tropical island. Your island! You can edit and shape your island any way you like.

Summer in Mara features:

6. Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley possibly one of the highest rated video games on Steam platform. It’s considered the best farming game of all times.

Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley are similar in terms of relaxing atmosphere, casual gameplay, town life, and character relationships.

The story of Stardew Valley revolves around a guy or gal inheriting an old farm plot from grandfather. You’ll be the one who decides how to proceed with the land.

8. Dinkum

Start a new life in Dinkum and build your new home out of scratch.

The game has Minecraft like mechanics and graphics. However, there are no monsters in Dinkum. It’s all about living a life in a small town.

You can explore forests, deserts, and billabongs on an island inspired by the wilderness of Australia. The land offers many opportunities such as farming, fishing, hunting, bug catching, and crafting.

It has online co-op too, so that you can enjoy it with your friends and loved ones.

VISIT

9. Hokko Life

Hop off the train and start your new life in the village of Hokko! It’s one of those games in which you take over an old workshop and get creative.

Of course, there are many extracurricular activities you can participate. Such as interacting with locals, chopping wood, digging, mining, and more.

All in all, it’s very much an off-brand Animal Crossing indie game.

VISIT

10. Spiritfarer

Spiritfarer is similar to the Animal Crossing in terms of recipe collecting, character tasks, and building. It’s super relaxing too.

In essence, it’s a platformer game you can enjoy without stressing too much. There is no fighting in this game either. Pacifism yay!
