Almost all role-playing games give player a follower, a partner, a companion, whatever you call it. It’s very realistic. Immersive as well. However, some followers are really dumb… Welcome to the list of stupidest RPG companions ever.
A companion’s job is to help player in quests, participate in combat, offer immersion, and carry the burdens. Sounds amazing right? Reality is much different… Most of the time companions get in the way of play because of the bad AI.
Even the strongest companion can die easily by letting himself / herself get surrounded. These companions will also block your way, wander away, and ruin the immersion by repeating the same line forever. Therefore, most companions are bad in RPGs. Some just worse than the others.

Stupidest RPG companion is by far Lydia, or any other Skyrim companion…

She’s a good fighter but an obnoxious one. She even kills the MC in one instance if you can’t pass the correct rolls.
