BASED RED PILLED VIDEO GAMES

Introvert is a person who avoids social interactions, doesn’t like going out, and prefer solitude. It’s a personality trait. The opposite is extrovert.

10 games about introverts or with introvert main character:

1. Introvert: A Teenager Simulator

GO

Let’s start with the darkest video game about introverts. The game features the most serious issues, extreme bullying, depression, and a little bit of dark humor.

I don’t even know how Steam allows this to be available on their platform. But yeah, it’s dark.

Let me tell you a little bit about the story / gameplay without spoiling it or mentioning about the problematic stuff. You’re basically a high school student going to school for 5 days and then hang out with peers after. During this journey, you make lots of decisions, find yourself in unique situations, discover secrets, and explore. Everything you do affects the gameplay and ending, so, be extremely careful when making choices.

The game is free-to-play by the way.

2. Incel Syndrome

GO

Incel is the buzzword of our time. Everyone is throwing the word left and right. It’s no surprise seeing a video game about it!

An incel (involuntarily celibate) is an introverted who can’t have sex! If you want to know what’s their life is like unless you aren’t one, try this new video game called Incel Syndrome. It’s a visual novel game with a philosophical story and a little bit of dark comedy.

PHILOSOPHICAL GAMES

Just don’t take it too seriously and try to have some fun with the ideas and situations.

3. Life is Strange

GO

Life is Strange is one of my favorite game series of all times. It’s also award winning and one of the highest rated video games of all times.

The game features mystery, thriller, detective work, time-rewinding ability, and a little bit slice of life theme. Maing protagonist of the Life is Strange Episode 1 is Max Caulfield, a shy introverted photography senior who discovers she can rewind time while saving her best friend Chloe Price.

First episode of Life is Strange is free to play on Steam by the way. So, you have no excuse to skip this story rich video game.

4. The Sims 4

GO

You can choose a career that allow you to work from home such as streamer, writer, painter, etc. and become the ultimate introvert in The Sims 4.

My career choices in The Sims 4 always leads my characters to an introverted lifestyle. Because that’s how you make the real money! Highest paying jobs are usually painting, writing, and coding because of the sweet royalty income. High working hours and not leaving the home leads a very stressful life for a sim, but it’s what it is. If you create a sim with introvert trait, there’ll be no problems.

5. Celeste

GO

Celeste is a precision platformer game with cute 2d pixel graphics. It’s very difficult to play but the story makes it worth your while.

It’s featuring the story of Madeline, a transgender fictional character with anxiety and other issues. You must help Madeline overcome her inner demons and outer demons on the journey to the top of Celeste Mountain.

With its %99 overwhelmingly positive reviews, platformer video game Celeste is one of the highest rated video games on Steam.

6. Teacup

GO

Finally, something relaxing… Teacup is a wholesome adventure with exploration. You play as a small and shy frog girl on her journey to find ingredients for the upcoming tea party. You’ll also meet many different talking animal characters during your journey. Some will be grumpy, some will be shy, and some will be extroverted. Making friends on the way is the bonus part.

I fell in love with the cozy artwork of Teacup instantly, I think you’ll feel the same. Just don’t forget to brew your tea before playing!

7. Deadlight

GO

Number 7 goes to the most interesting game of our list, the Deadlight. Deadlight is a zombie action / survival game using in 2.5d platformer mechanic.

Main character is Randall Wayne, an introverted and paranoid survivor searching for his loved ones in the zombie infested world. Looks like being paranoid and introverted is very helpful in a zombie outbreak scenario.

8. Social Caterpillar

GO

Social Caterpillar is a diorama (a replica of a scene) elaborating thoughts and feelings about introversion and socializing.

Basically, it’s a short, simple game that expresses the nuances of social interactions through bite-sized puzzles.

9. Double R

GO

Last 2 games of this list are the funniest ones believe me. Double R. is a walking simulator capturing the awkwardness and social anxieties experienced by the introverts.

Wanna know about the effects of crippling social anxiety? Try Double R and experience the struggle of completing simplest everyday tasks because of the anxiety, shaking, etc.

10. Introvert

GO

Yes, there is a video game literally titled introvert. It’s an indie, free to play game that is available on itch.io.

You play as an introvert in it. No surprise there! Story is kinda funny too. You wake up on a floor and you have no idea where you are. When you look around, you realize where you are. A house party… Which is the worst nightmare of an introvert.

You must burst through doors and find the exit as fast as possible with minimum human interaction.
