To me, Total War Napoleon is one of the most underrated Total War games ever. It’s very unique because there aren’t many realistic strategy games featuring Napoleonic era. You’ll truly understand the power of cannons, 19th century battle formations, and discipline after playing this game.
From the early Italian campaign to the battle of Waterloo, Total War: Napoleon literally covers every battle of the Napoleon’s time.
Another key point is this, you don’t have to play as Napoleon. You can challenge him too.
2. Mount & Blade: Napoleonic Wars
Mount & Blade series has a Napoleon twist too. Napoleonic Wars is a Mount & Blade Warband complete overhaul DLC.
The DLC contains new map, 49th century weapons, uniforms, units, mortars, trenches, explosives, and an epic multiplayer mode with up to 200 players.
Single player campaign of Mount & Blade: Napoleonic Wars is not really impressive. However, its grand scale multiplayer battles are epic. Especially if you’re playing in a team and using voice chat to communicate.
3. Holdfast: Nations at War
Holdfast: Nations At War is the most popular multiplayer shooter game set in Napoleonic Era. You get to experience Napoleonic and WW1 wars in both first and third-person view with over 150 players per server.
The game was already popular, but the Joaquin Phoenix’s movie literally filled the servers of Holdfast: Nations at War with thousands of new players.
