Voodoo is an African-origin spiritual ritual associated with dark magic. It’s often used to hex, curse, and harm the targeted individual. Do I believe it? No. Would I risk it? Most common ritual of Voodoo is done with a small humanoid figure effigy (voodoo doll), a representation of the target. Witch will direct all his/her hatred towards the voodoo doll and pierce it with small needles.
It probably was a common thing in the old times. But today voodoo is only seen in fantasy movies, literature, and games. Though it might still be practiced very rarely by Haitians, West Africans, and new-age young witch wannabes. I would stay away from it in real life!
