Even though he appears only once in the BG3 early access, Raphael quickly became popular among players. He is charming, quirky, dangerous, and devilishly handsome.
So, who is Raphael in Baldur’s Gate 3? He is a cambion (part-devil) appear in the guise of men. We really don’t know much about him. Except that he is a devil and offers a deal to remove mindflayer parasite. Is he genuine? What does he want in return? Most of the questions about Raphael in BG3 will be revealed when the game is fully released. Unfortunately, there aren’t any data-mine information about Raphael either.

Almost all of your companions tell you to ignore Raphael and don’t make a deal with him. Except Astarion, he’s kind of indifferent to the idea of making a pact with the devil. Because the need of removing parasite is urgent, and the devil is tempting.
Wyll also tells you not to deal with Raphael but he has his own deal with Mizora. In this regard Wyll contradicts himself.
All in all, dealing with the Devil never ends well. A good-aligned player must avoid this path. However, if you are doing an evil BG3 playthrough, you might consider making a pact with Raphael. After all, what’s better than a devil you don’t know? A devil you do.
Besides, if you get captured by priestess Gut, Raphael sends an assassin for a rescue mission.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Raphael Quest Trigger
Raphael first appears in camp as a part of main quest, Removing the Parasite. Then after a short conversation, he teleports our party to The House of Hope.
In order to trigger Raphael quest, you must progress the quest Removing the Parasite, which can be done in many ways. Such as Nettie, the Hag, Gith Patrol, Volo, Zevlor, etc. I mean it will eventually happen as you further progress throughout the game. However, in order to trigger his appearance, you party must have a long rest at the camp.
I always use long rest after every noteworthy encounter, that’s how you trigger all available companion quests, including the Raphel one.
Once Raphael appears and teleport you to his place, he’ll offer you a cure for your parasite problem. But what he demands in return is remains unknown.
BG3 Raphael Voice Actor
There isn’t any information about the voice behind cambion Raphael. No official announcement or imdb info can be found. However, according to some reddit users, voice behind Raphael can be Mark Meer or Andrew Wincott. Not for sure though. Because it’s all speculation.

To be honest, I think the voice behind Raphael is indeed Andrew Wincott. You can listen to his voice on Youtube or Spotify. Sounds pretty similar.
