The more the merrier. Welcome to my best 3 player co op nations list made for HOI4. I made a top 10 list for the most fun alliances that can make so that you can enjoy HOI4 with your two other friends.
There are ideas for Comintern, Allies, Axis, East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere, and custom factions on this list. All of them are really enjoyable and you should most definitely give each and every one of the ideas a go with your buddies.
HOI4 Best 2 Player CO OP Nations
Here it begins, my list of the best HOI4 3 player coop nations:
1. German Reich – Italy – Japan
Isn’t that the evil and best trio of the second world war? Of course, on this playthrough, Japan joins Axis instead of forming East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere.
With this alliance, it should be easy to conquer both Europe and China. Once that happens, USA will be pressured on both Pacific and Atlantic. Same goes for Soviet Union too. Your trio will squeeze the big bullies of Hearts of Iron IV.
2. United Kingdom – France – USA
This time we are talking about the good guys. Of course, the most skilled player should pick the France in order to stop Germany at Benelux / Maginot front lines.
Hold the line until USA player manages to convince his people to go to war. Once USA joins the war, you guys should be able start pushing Axis forces back. Besides around 1940-41, German Reich declares war on Soviet Union and that definitely helps the Allies.
3. Soviet Union – French Commune – Republican Spain
I have recommended one Allies and one Axis campaign for three player co op. Now it is time for the Comintern campaign!
Workers of the world, unite! – Karl Marx
Communism rises in the western Europe. With the support of the Soviet Union, France and Spain should easily convert to communism and win the civil war.
Then you guys can decide what to do next. Either topple fascism or democracy in Europe. Then go to your next target.
4. Norway – Sweden – Denmark
Scandinavian nations do not have their own custom focus tree. So, you guys can choose to either go fascist or communist.
Historically they created the Kalmar Union. For more immersion, create your own faction and name it Kalmar Union. But be careful, this is a hard campaign and you will have to defend your buddy Denmark against the German Reich.
5. China – Communist China – Guangxi Clique
Japan is really strong with its industry, generals, bonuses, etc. Can you and your two buddies defend against the Hirohito / Empire of Japan?
Beware, China does not have tech, industry, manpower, navy, aircraft, basically nothing. Except the nearly unlimited manpower.
By the way you guys don’t need to invade main Japan islands. Just drive off the Japanese forces out of China and Korea. This will trigger the peace deal via event.
6. Japan – Siam – India
Here comes another interesting fascist pact. Siam already joins the East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere via Japanese focus tree. But India must be supported by Japan in order to win the Indian civil war of fascism.
You guys can easily destroy the China when you combine your forces. Only challenge in this campaign is USA and the allies.
7. Canada – British Raj – Australia
Just another Allies campaign. Build your industry, forces, and gain independence from the English crown. Then make you impact on the second world war.
Your mainland is %100 safe. So, you guys should focus on navy, marines, and aircraft. Then simply start your organized invasions on the Axis lands. Cut their trade routes and supply to starve them. Finally hit the finishing blow with the USA around 1941.
8. Hungary – Romania – German Reich
Another great alliance backed by the German Reich focus tree. German Reich player can develop both Hungary and Romania simply by integrating their war economy.
On this playthrough, German Reich does all the work until the Soviet war. Once the Soviet war emerges, Hungary and Romania can really carve their name in the world’s history.
9. Germany – Czechoslovakia – Poland
For this campaign to work, German Reich must go with the Oppose Hitler focus tree route. Then you guys will form a democratic pact against fascism and communism.
If German Reich goes with the oppose hitler pact, United Kingdom goes fascist with Oswald Mosley. Isn’t that interesting? Since this is a really hard playthrough, I recommend it to the veteran players only.
10. Fascist France – Italy – Nationalist Spain
In our last campaign idea, we are forming the Latin entente, led by fascist France. Latin Entente can be formed via French focus tree, other members can be invited also.
Italy joining the Latin Entente tremendously weakens the German Reich. You guys can easily take out the biggest power in the Europe. But your main enemies in this playthrough will be the Soviet Union and USA/Allies pact.
