HOI4 AI nations recruits millions of divisions. I don’t know why AI prefers quantity over quality but it slows down my computer and I don’t like it. Thankfully HOI4 less divisions mod fixes that issue forcibly.
Unfortunately HOI4 AI is super dumb and spams unnecessary divisions just to spread around and it is bad. Why it is a bad thing? Obviously it negatively impacts the game performance. Especially in the late game. Those who are using older computers suffers the most.

Given these points, I believe HOI4 division limiting mods are highly useful. By the way limiting AI division limit does not weaken the AI. Because HOI4 AI spams divisions without enough equipment. That makes weak armies and ridiculous supply demand. Especially with the new supply system, AI shots itself in the leg by recruiting generous amount of divisions.

First I must say, this is a life saver mod for great number of players. HOI4 Division Limiter mod works in an unique way. Once this mod installed, the amount of divisions AI nations can build equals to their respective number of factories multiplied by 1.15.
This helps the game performance tremendously, especially in the late game. Works in multiplayer too incase you are wondering. All players must install it though.
