BG3 Gale Artifacts and How to Get Them

List of 8 Baldur's Gate 3 artifacts for Gale. I have also made a guide of acquiring precious BG3 artifacts.

Here is the list of BG3 Gale artifacts and how to get your hands of them. Baldur’s Gate 3 companion Gale has a situation that demands him to consume precious artifacts.

BALDUR’S GATE 3 GALE VOICE ACTOR

In early access you can give only 2 artifacts to Gale. He won’t take no more. Besides most players hate giving their artifacts to Gale. What a demanding companion.

Though I don’t know why we can’t give him more than 2. Probably because his questline is not complete yet. BG3 is an early access game after all.

Here is the list of artifacts you can give to Gale in Baldur’s Gate 3:

1. Idol of Silvanus

Idol of Silvanus is located in the middle of Druids Groove. You can steal it but if you get caught, Druids will blame Tieflings and slaughter them. So, better quick-save before you attempt to steal it.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Idol of Silvanus has three uses:

  1. Feeding Gale obviously.
  2. Giving it to Tiefling kid Mol for a quest.
  3. Keeping it in the inventory for nature checks bonus.

2. The Necromancy of Thay

Necromancy of Thay book is part of the search the cellar quest. Successfully completing the quest gives your character “Speak with the dead” spell once per long rest. Of course, you can give it to the Gale if you want.

Baldur’s Gate 3 the Necromancy of Thay location: Blighted Village, Apothecary’s basement. X:-647 Y:-364 are the exact coordinates.

3. Amulet of Selune’s Chosen

Amulet of Selune’s Chosen is a rare amulet that can be found in the goblin camp Shattered Sanctum. It’s in the treasure room behind the goblin throne. You can access this area after fighting the goblin bosses. Coordinates are X:298 Y:70.

This item grants its wearer the Selune’s Dream cantrip.

Selune’s Dream:
An ally you touch regains 1d8+0 hit points, but potentially falls into a slumber.
This spell has no effect on undead or constructs.

4. Sword of Justice

Sword of Tyr member Anders is the wielder of this sword. He is at The Risen Toad X:107 Y:562 coordinates.

There are two ways of getting this sword. Obviously first one is killing the Anders. The second way is doing a quest for him which is not moral at all. That’s enough spoilers.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Sword of Justice:
2d6+1 Slashing
The words “Deliverance. Justice. Vengeance.” are engraved on the base of this sword. They echo in your mind.
The holder of this item gains:
Tyr’s Protection and cleave.

Sword of Justice is really OP two-handed melee weapon. So, if one of your characters is a warrior with two-handed proficiency, consider using it. Instead of feeding the Gale.

5. Iron Flask

BG3 iron flask is the best artifact in my opinion. Because with it you can win even the hardest fights in Baldur’s Gate 3. Though is a one-use item.

Iron Flask description:
A flask that can hold friends and foes. Likely to make the former the latter. (Glowing flask: The flask radiates a curious energy.

Simply drop it from your inventory and break it with a ranged attack. That will unleash the eldritch horror spectator.

6. Staff of Crones

You can get staff of crones after killing the hag boss auntie Ethel. Currently Baldur’s Gate 3 necromancer class is unavailable. Staff of Crones will be the best weapon for necromancer characters once the class become playable.

Staff of Crones:
Live worms wriggle beneath the crumbling surface of this half-rotten staff. Merely touching it fills you with a wave of unbearable nausea and strange longing, as if it’s calling for its like.

Even though it’s an uncommon item and a boss reward, staff is not really useful. Therefore, it’s the best used to feed Gale.

7. Shadow of Menzoberranzan

Shadow of Menzoberranzan is a very rare helmet that grants Shrouded in Shadow action per long rest. It’s one of the best armors you can wear as a Baldur’s Gate 3 thief character.

Shadow of Menzoberranzan:
You sense the shadows that envelop this drowcraft cowl, eagerly waiting envelop you and shield you from view.
Shrouded in Shadow:
Become Invisible. The spell breaks if you attack, cast another spell, perform an Action, or take damage.

Location: Myconid Colony in Underdark. Inside the treasure room. (X:50 Y:75)

8. Disintegrating Night Walkers

Another great item for sneaky characters. Don’t you dare give it to Gale. Because it is too valuable to waste when you have other options.

Disintegrating Night Walkers:
Darker than a starless night, Night Walkers are made for secrecy. Created in the honour of Shar, they allow the wearer to move quickly and unobtrusively without emanating any sort of magical aura.
This particular pair belonged to an overly confident Dark Justiciar, who perished long ago while raiding the village of Moonhaven. Though the boots are slowly falling apart, a trace of their original enchantment remains.

Wearer of this item can’t be Enwebbed, Entangled, or Ensnared and can’t slip on grease or ice.
Misty Step: Surrounded by black mist, you teleport to an unoccupied space you can see.

Location: Grymforge, Underdark.

What do you think about Gale’s artifact questline? I think it is a good flavor that every RPG should have that kind of hard decisions. Do let me know your thoughts in the comment section below and I will see you soon. Till later.
