Cooking in Baldur’s Gate 3

baldur's gate 3 cooking

Who are we? Baldur’s Gate 3 fans. What do we want? Cooking in Baldur’s Gate 3. Jokes aside, unfortunately we don’t have cooking mechanics in Baldur’s Gate 3 at the moment. However, since this is the early access, cooking might still be implemented. With the full release of course.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Future Companions

I mean we have lots of consumable items in the game already. Such as plants, eggs, fish, herbs, mushrooms, and meats. I mean lots of raw meats. I would like to use them and cook for my companions in the camp. And perhaps Lae’zel would cook us something more exotic from time to time.

RPG games are already highly engaged with cooking mechanics. Baldur’s Gate 3 is also a RPG with full of cooking materials. Only thing missing is a balanced cooking mechanic.

I believe Larian studios can do it perfectly. Because the other Larian masterpiece Divinity Original Sin series had it. Lots of recipes, ingredients, and food was perfectly balanced and in harmony. This will most definitely follow BG3 too, I guarantee it. Because higher difficulties would require more micro managing and such. Once they are implemented of course.

BG3 Cooking

All in all, we don’t have cooking at the moment. Though we have just a little bit of BG3 crafting. Let’s wait a bit. Sooner or later, we will have cooking in Baldur’s Gate 3. Either via patches or mods. Because if something important missing in a game, mod creators will implement it. That is always the case, wouldn’t you agree? That is all i have to say on this matter for now. If the game implements any cooking related stuff, I will update this page. Also, for cooking mods of course. Stay tuned, leave a nice comment, and take care!
