List of all romanceable characters in Baldur's Gate 3.

bg3 romance options

What are the romance options in Baldur’s Gate 3? At the moment, there are 6 romance options you can choose among. Are they worth investing time? One thing is certain, Baldur’s Gate 3 romance scenes are HOT. Larian did great job at narrating and animating lewd scenes. Therefore, you should definitely try romancing your favorite companions.

BALDUR’S GATE 3 FUTURE COMPANIONS

Almost all companions are romanceable. But your romance options are not limited with companions only. You can also romance various side characters such as Minthara. Personally, I don’t like Minthara, she is not attractive at all in my opinion. However, most detailed romance scene in Baldur’s Gate 3 is the one with Minthara.

Can’t say the same for other romance options. Yes, you can romance all companions, but most scenes are work in progress. Perhaps all sexy scenes will be complete with the full release.

Minthara

Minthara is inherently evil. In order to romance her, you must follow the Baldur’s Gate 3 evil playthrough. To be specific, Minthara’s side must be chosen during the raid on Druid Grove. Entire city must be slaughtered for some Drow meat. 🙁

After raiding Grove, Minthara will throw herself at you.

She is not a companion at the moment. But the game is early access. Maybe in the future, Minthara will be a recruitable companion.

Shadowheart

Do you want to romance Shadowheart? Better make sure you save her from the pod on your next save. Here is the how to free Shadowheart guide.

Unless you save her from the mindflayer pod, she will be an obnoxious companion at the beginning. However, if you save her, she becomes a little bit nicer.

Once you build up your approval rating enough with the Shadowheart, you can talk to her in camp at night. Then you will have an option to share a wine with her. I don’t want to spoil rest of it, if you know what I mean. (wink*)

Astarion

Sexy vampire Astarion is just another romance option in Baldur’s Gate 3. Since he is kind of an evil character, his approval rating rises after you commit mischievous acts.

In order to trigger romance scene with Astarion, you need to kill goblin leaders first. Once you kill gobbo leaders, return to camp and celebrate this victory with your companions. During this celebration, you can approach Astarion and after a little bit of chat, you can literally bang him. Of course, your approval with him must be high enough.

Gale

This one is a bit tricky. Gale is a highly demanding companion. His approval rating can be increased by various interactions. However, to increase his true approval rating, you must feed him with precious artifacts. I hate giving him my precious unique items but that is the only way of romancing him…

BALDUR’S GATE 3 GALE ARTIFACTS

Also, his romance scenes are the hardest to trigger. You must have lots of night rest in-game, even if your party is at full health. Especially don’t forget to rest after meeting him and completing major quests. That will trigger the Gale romance questline faster.

Important: Let him die to trigger his resurrection quest. That is another key-point of going through with his romance guide.

When you trigger the weave scene, the romance questline will end. Then you can bang him at will!

Wyll

Romancing Wyll is hard! Because his partner in crime succubus Mizora does not approve this relationship between you and Wyll.

To fend off Mizora’s interference, you need persuasion, charisma, and a little bit of luck.

Wyll is an anti-goblin character. After all, goblins are the ones who took his eye and killed his whole village. His vendetta against goblins is understandable. So, if you want to romance Wyll, better make sure to kill every goblin you see in your playthrough.

Lae’zel

Lae’zel is a total warmonger. Any fighting decision you make increases her approval rating. So, if you want to romance her, better fight pretty much everyone you can.

BALDUR’S GATE 3 EASTER EGGS

But unfortunately, her romance scenes not animated in the early access. When you trigger the scene, your screen goes black and says, “work in progress”. What a bummer…

By the way, keep Lae’zel words in mind. She does not believe in love. However, she believes in carnal pleasure…

That was all romance options in Baldur’s Gate 3. I hope you enjoyed this article.
