baldur's gate 3 difficulty

Is Baldur’s Gate 3 too hard for you? Perhaps it is too easy. I guess it depends on the player. If you played Divinity Original Sin 2 (same developers), then most likely you will find this child play. However, if you haven’t played a game like this before, it might be challenging.

BALDUR’S GATE 3 SHADOWHEART MODS

There is one way to reduce RNG and rolls into your favor. Baldur’s Gate 3 weighed dice option increases your success on rolls. This option slightly reduces the difficulty. But that is all.

In any case, unfortunately Baldur’s Gate 3 does not have a difficulty setting in it. Why is that? Because it is still in the early access and many of the features hasn’t even implemented yet! It is one of the Baldur’s Gate 3 problems, but we have our own ways of adjusting difficulty.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Lowering Difficulty

Play slow and smart! Take advantage of environment. Use tools, barrels, bombs, poison, etc. If you find one combat difficult, leave that place and go somewhere else. Until you are prepared of course.

Take advantage of camp resting. You can rest as many times as you want. Because resting heals your party members and prepares strong skills. Try doing that before each combat and you should have no problem.

Start fights via stealth attacks.

Baldur’s Gate 3 stealth mechanic is really overpowered.

Finally, use mods that will make you stronger.

With 6 party members, your group will be unstoppable.

This mod will give you all items available in Baldur’s Gate 3. Therefore making the game easier.

Lastly, Gale spell mod. This mod is really op and gives you really strong spells to destroy your enemies.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Increasing Difficulty

Don’t travel with the whole group! Travel with 2 or 3 characters to increase game difficulty. Leave rest of your companions at camp. Fewer allies means harder combats.

Do not spam party rest! Resting at camp restores your party members health and skills. Player can easily abuse this because there is no limitation how many rests you can have. In order to increase your game difficulty, try resting after completing a challenging quest.

Or simply use this and that. One of them is called satan hardcore, the other one is a bit harder difficulty mod. These mods will make you game harder. By editing NPC health bars, dice damages, and such.

I hope this guide helps you on your journey! Goodbye for now, have fun.
